Harvest 2019: a solar year
Thanks to an extraordinary weather during the maturation and the harvest, we were able to adapt our harvesting paths. We pressed grapes to an optimal maturity from the beginning to the end of the harvest at our pressing center.
On Monday, September 9th, the harvest began with magnificent Meuniers, followed by beautiful Chardonnays and finally by very big Pinots Noirs.
In Mardeuil, the last week of the grape harvest ended on Thursday, September 19, 2019. The reasonable yields in our vineyard and the cool nights of September preserved a good concentration and a pleasant freshness despite a remarkable sugar content.
The vat room smells of gourmand scents and the first tastings at the end of alcoholic fermentation suggest a great vintage 2019!
